Tactical Pistol I
Technon Tactical Pistol I Course, also known as "Tactical Mindset for Pistol Owners", is the first of three courses that focus on the tactical employment of the pistol. These three courses are advanced courses and are intended for students who have taken prior pistol shooting courses and are familiar with the functional aspects of the pistol, the basic fundamentals of shooting and practical applications for self defense. The courses have a strong influence from the Israeli approach to pistol work, but other schools of thought are also incorporated into the courses (Russian, USSS, and more).
In this first course, you will learn the basics of tactical movement with a pistol through a series of experimental drills.
We will focus on the following: safety, malfunctions, shooting position, fundamentals of Israeli Instinctive Point Shooting, transition drills, tactical mindset.
The one day version of this course does not include live fire exercises. Instead, throughout the day we will use 'blue, red or yellow' plastic practice pistols and your real empty firearm for realizing the different drills. The two day version covers live fire on day 2.
Duration: 1 Day
Equipment Needed:
Long pants (cargo, BDU, etc), Technon Tactical tshirt, thick belt, pistol and magazine holster, 2 magazines.
Plastic practice pistol (blue, red, yellow, if you have one.) AND your personal pistol (NO AMMO for day 1).
Bring hydration, snack, personal first aid, notebook, pen.
For the Day 2 Live Fire format you will need:
300 rounds, 3 magazines, eye and ear protection, sun screen, mosquito spray, light lunch and all of the above.
