About Systema Miami
We practice the Russian Martial Art as taught by our teachers Mikhail Ryabko and Vladimir Vasiliev. Our classes in Dania Beach, FL focus on real-world self-defense and incorporate elements of psychology, physiology, physics and strategy. We are a school certified by Systema Chief Instructor Vladimir Vasiliev and affiliated with our local Senior Instructor David Merrell in West Palm Beach. We have training available several days a week, workshops every two weeks and seminars every other month. |

What is Systema?
Systema is an ancient Russian martial art used by Russian knights that was adopted by some of the most elite units of Russian Spetsnaz (Special Forces). It is elegant in its simplicity and devastatingly effective in its application. Systema is fluid and flowing and yet generates enormous power while adapting easily to each individual’s body type and mental makeup. This ancient knowledge is now being made available to those outside of the elite Spetsnaz community due to the efforts of Mikhail Ryabko and Vladimir Vasiliev.
Practitioners of Systema gradually acquire a set of extremely valuable universal skills and knowledge, which they soon start using in everyday life situations: personal relationships, work related activities, relationships with other people, solving problems arising from stressful situations, etc. No matter which objectives a person has in mind, when he or she starts practicing Systema, the skills acquired lead to the same result: growth of his or her personality, physical, psychological and spiritual development and improved health and well-being.
